Google Ads for Jewellery Showrooms: Driving Store Visits, Not Just Clicks
Most jewellery is still bought in the showroom. How Indian jewellers can use Google Search, Maps and Performance Max with store goals to bring people through the door, and how to measure visits that never touch your website.

Indian jewellery is still mostly bought in person. People want to see the piece, feel the weight, check the purity and talk about making charges with someone they trust. Even shoppers who browse online usually finish the purchase at the counter.
That changes how a jeweller should use Google Ads. The goal isn't website sales. It's people walking into the showroom. Here's how to set that up and measure it.
Start with intent: Search campaigns
The most valuable people are the ones already looking: "jewellery shop near me", "bridal jewellery in Thrissur", "diamond ring showroom Kochi", "gold coin shop Calicut". A Search campaign targeted around your showroom catches them.
- Target a radius around each showroom, and the town names people use.
- Use call and location assets so people can phone or get directions straight from the ad.
- Write ads that answer what shoppers care about: BIS hallmarking, making charges, exchange offers, bridal collections, parking.
- Add negative keywords for job searches, gold rate checks and wholesale enquiries so you don't pay for clicks that will never visit.
Your Google Business Profile does half the work
Many "near me" searches never reach the ads. They go straight to the map. A complete, active Business Profile with accurate hours, real photos of the showroom and collections, and many recent reviews is the cheapest source of visits a jeweller has. It's also required for store-goal campaigns. The same approach as in Google Business Profile for resorts and homestays applies here.
Performance Max with store goals

Google also offers Performance Max campaigns with store goals. Instead of optimising for website conversions, they promote your showroom across Search, Maps, YouTube, Gmail and Display, and optimise for actions like store visits or directions.
This works best when:
- Your Business Profile is verified and linked to Google Ads.
- You have several showrooms, so Google has enough data.
- You're comfortable with less control over where ads appear.
For a single showroom, a tight Search campaign plus a strong Business Profile is usually the better first step. Add Performance Max later, and judge it against Search on visits and sales, not clicks.
Measuring visits that never touch your website

Calls and directions. Google can count calls from ads and direction requests. They aren't sales, but they're strong signals of intent and a fair way to compare campaigns.
Store visits. Google can estimate store visits for accounts that meet its eligibility requirements, such as enough traffic and verified locations. Not every account qualifies, so treat it as a bonus, not the foundation.
Ask at the counter. "How did you find us?" written into the billing software or a simple register is crude but useful.
Offline conversion uploads. The strongest option. When a customer who enquired online buys in the showroom, record their phone number with the sale and upload it back to Google. It learns which searches turn into real purchases. It's the same idea as sending CRM sales back to Meta, applied to Google.
Plan around the jewellery calendar
Demand spikes around Akshaya Tritiya, Onam, Diwali and Dhanteras, and the wedding season. Raise budgets and refresh ad copy a few weeks before each one. The Meta side of these peaks is covered in Diwali and Dhanteras ads for jewellery brands and bridal jewellery ads.
Where Meta fits
Google catches people who are already searching. Meta creates demand by showing new collections to people who weren't looking yet. A jeweller usually needs both: Meta to make people want a piece, Google to make sure they find your showroom when they're ready. Frequently asked questions
Can Google Ads track showroom visits for jewellers?
Google can estimate store visits for eligible accounts with verified locations and enough traffic. All accounts can track calls and direction requests, and you can upload offline sales to connect ads with purchases.
Is Performance Max good for a jewellery shop with one showroom?
Usually not as a first step. A focused Search campaign plus a strong Business Profile tends to work better with one location. Performance Max with store goals makes more sense with several showrooms and enough data.
What keywords should a jewellery showroom target?
"Near me" searches, your town plus product terms (bridal jewellery, diamond rings, gold chains), and branded searches for your own name. Exclude job, gold-rate and wholesale searches.
